Old Town totally won me over
The walled old town here is something else. Wandering through those narrow streets, popping into little tapas bars, buying local ensaïmada pastries - it all felt so relaxed and real. Not overcrowded like some places on the island.
Best beach holiday in years
Playa de Muro is absolutely stunning - shallow, calm water and the sand is so clean. Perfect for families with kids. The beach goes on forever and never felt too packed. Water temperature in August was just right. Loved every single day there.
Great spot for a summer escape
We stayed close to the Port d'Alcúdia area and it was brilliant. Loads of good restaurants along the waterfront, really fresh seafood, and the sunsets were just gorgeous. Easy to rent bikes and explore around too. Kids were happy the whole trip.
Lovely mix of history and beach
Didn't expect the Roman ruins at Pollentia to be so close by and actually pretty impressive. Spent a morning there then hit the beach in the afternoon. That combo of culture and sun is hard to beat. Food was good and reasonably priced.
Quieter than I expected and that's a good thing
Came in May before the big summer rush and it was perfect. The old town walls are really well preserved and the whole place feels genuine. Tried tumbet for the first time at a local restaurant on Carrer dels Oms - absolutely delicious, very hearty.
A really solid winter break
December here is mild enough to walk around comfortably and explore without sweating. The old town is peaceful, locals are friendly, and prices drop massively off-season. Had some great pa amb oli at a quiet little bar near the main square.
